Chapter 3: Chess and Teddy Bears(?)
(The name says it all, don't you think?)
"Your turn." Jeremy Camp told Matt Thiessen. Matt moved his Chess piece. "Ha! Checkmate. You should stick to singing. Chess is too intellectual for you." Jeremy feigned offense. "I'm not intellectual enough?! And this from the guy who writes songs about horses that say 'Neigh'? You're going to make me recede into fits of great emotion." He pretended to look sad. Just then KJ bursts in, holding something brown in his hands, followed by John Reuben. They raced around the room, knocking stuff over and yelling at each other. "Come on, KJ, give him back!" John yelled, referring to the small stuffed bear that KJ held. KJ laughed. "Man, I can't believe you still have this thing!" KJ ran around the table Jeremy and Matt were playing chess on, keeping it between him and John. "Now you've made me angry!" John rolled his eyes ominously. He suddenly lunged across the table, spilling chess pieces everywhere. KJ is rather frightened by this, and runs out the door. Silence follows. Matt looks at Jeremy. "You up for another game?" Jeremy laughs. "Nope." He then walks out, leaving Matt to clean up the mess. He shrugs, and starts cleaning.
"Party tonight! Yeah!" Jason Dunn shouts. Tricia Brock stops him from doing his happy dance. "What?" "There's a party tonight, everyone's invited. Tell everyone you see." He then goes back to his happy dancing. Wow, he's weirder than I thought, Tricia says to herself as she walks away.
(Who knew Jason Dunn happy dances? Weird. Next time, we shall see what happens at the party Jason was referring to. And I shall put a scary emo picture of Phee up for you if I can find one.)
